Employee Spotlight - Omorinola Odeyinka

Omorinola is a shy (you'd never know) but courageous woman who enjoys coordination and planning, from an office social to a large wedding. She is the go-to person in her family when anything needs fixing. Her post-graduate degree in Managerial Psychology aids in understanding and influencing people in and out of the work place.

What do you like about working at Cyclica?

The people! Everyone is easy to speak to, kind, collaborative and fun at the same time. I also like the flexibility at Cyclica.

What motivates you to get up and work everyday?

What motivates me is knowing there is a problem to solve each day. This helps me stay challenged and engaged.

What's one thing - either work-related or not- you learned in the past month?

I learned about the power of the subconscious mind. Everything starts with your mind as it is a powerful tool which can make or break you. You want to get something done no matter how daunting it may seem - conceptualize and see the end in your mind before you even take the first physical step.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren't doing this?

Events Management. Putting things and people together comes naturally to me so this is something I enjoy doing.

What books do you want to read?

1. The light we carry by Michelle Obama (reading this at the moment)
2. Essentialism by Greg McKeown

3. The magic of thinking big by David Schwartz

4. Good habits by Wendy Wood

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

The ability to teleport, so I can visit new places without having to physically travel.
